How to Treat your Dog's or Cat's Diarrhea

Does your dog or cat suffer from diarrhea? This ailment can arise because of many causes and involves the passing of soft or liquid stools, sometimes with a bad odor. Also, when a cat or dog is suffering diarrhea, they tend to pass such stools with greater frequency and urgency than usual. In addition, a dog or cat that is afflicted with this problem may experience tenderness in its rectal area and may have matted and soiled hair beneath its tail. Rather than being an actual illness or disease itself, diarrhea is usually a symptom of other problems or conditions. The factors that can lead to diarrhea in cats and dogs are numerous, and often the underlying cause will not be serious and this problem will only affect a pet for a very short period of time, clearing up on its own. However, in some circumstances diarrhea is a sign of a more serious, and occasionally life-threatening, condition.

If your dog or cat is suffering from diarrhea and you are trying to determine whether this is serious or not, there are a number of signs to look for. First of all, if your dog is chronically experiencing diarrhea, he or she should be examined by a veterinarian. In other words, if the diarrhea persists for more than a few days, this could be a sign that the underlying cause could be serious. Moreover, continued diarrhea can lead to dehydration which can have serious health consequences of its own.

"Last August while we went on vacation we put our 11 month old Newfoundland dog into a boarding kennel that is owned and operated by a Veterinarian. When our dog returned home after our vacation, he had a terrible case of irritated bowl syndrome. I made the mistake of not providing food for him and let the vet provide the food (I thought he would be in good hands). No matter what he ate, everything came out like water. I took him to the vets office and he went was tested for various things and went on some medication, none of which made any difference.

I started doing my own research online and found out about the Plantaeris. I ordered a bottle to try and it seemed to make a little difference but he would quickly resort to diarrhea. I started removing everything from his ingestion one at a time (rawhide dog bones, milk bones, treats, human food) to try to see if there was anything causing the problem. He could not tolerate his original dry food (ultra premium brand) that he had dome so well on for months was the only thing left so I started searching for a new food as well.

In the mean time I was making progress and I eliminated virtually everything from his ingestion. I finally tried a Costco ultra premium brand that he seemed to respond to. I ended up using 3 bottles of Plantaeris and had to minimize exposure to anything new and it finally worked. I don't think I could have done it without Plantaeris.

It has been 3 months since his stools have been somewhat normal (and now they are) and I still need to be careful with doggy treats as they will cause his stool to go bad. While at the Vet for his last round of shots I described everything that happened to our pet and how I was able to get over the problem (Plantaeris combined with care). I gave an empty bottle to the Vet in recommendation of the product and she spoke how she really believes in the natural remedies and was grateful for being introduced to this product. They had the file of our dog and all the tests that were run and the prescription approach did not work. Fortunately I discovered petwellbeing and Plantaeris. Regards Frank in Irvine, CA"

"When your cat gets diarrhea, it really can be a stressful time. I know this first hand as two months ago my cat Buffy had a really bad bout. The poor little thing was depressed for days until I got the Plantaeris product I ordered from you. Of course, I made sure that I gave Buffy a good diet too but when I coupled that with the Plantaeris remedy, her diarrhea got better in no time. Since this incident, I always keep it handy but, touch wood, Buffy has been diarrhea free ever since. Excellent product. Thank you all AlexHuntington, NY"
