Resthryo customer response

In addition to the survey testimonials we receive daily, we often receive personal e-mails from pet owners who are kind enough to share their story with us. This letter from Charly Makray was received in my inbox this week. I enjoyed reading their letter and thought that I would share it with everyone else. They were also kind enough to share a photo of their gorgeous cat, Chan, taken before he diagnosed with the illness.

Your product, Resthyro, works when the vet failed us. Our sunny boy, Chan, was diagnosed with liver failure in December 2007. The vet gave us the choice of euthanasia or bring him home and make him comfortable, and enjoy him as long as possible.

The vet did mention that his wife had hepatitis and had recovered using SAM-e so I researched the internet and found it was so common a problem that a specific brand was manufactured for cats. I ordered it, and with the antibiotics we got him through the crisis.

However, his follow up liver function tests were still off the charts although all visible signs were showing his liver was working again. He was now on high protein, no grain, kibble supplemented with stewed chicken. He was drinking too much water and eating 24/7. A healthy 16 pound male cat now weighed 5 pounds. All other tests were within normal limits.

Again, I research the internet and discovered he had all the classic symptoms of hyperthyroidism and had them even when the liver failure was diagnosed. His racing heartbeat, the tangled coat, panting, were all attributed to the stress of the visit. In fact the liver disease and rapid heartbeat were classic symptoms of hyperthyroidism.

Last week I called the vet and explained the three hour reroute due to the recent midwest flooding. Additional streeses of testing and three hours in a cat carrier would probably cause a heart attack in Chan's weaked condition. I also explained flat out we could not afford any testing. I can't even buy my own medications with the economy in the tank. They still insisted they would not give the thyroid medication without testing.

I wish the vet had caught this sooner because we can't afford retakes. We've been caught in the midwest flooding, and although our home is safe, we're stuck with two to three hour rerouting delays because of road destruction. Our driving expenses have doubled. It hurts not to be able to care for our little 'family' on a fixed income.

Blessings to your company for providing alternatives that really work.

We received Restyro on Friday and gave Chan his first dose. Saturday morning he was given his second. The improvement was immediate. The poor guy had been having watery loose bowel movements 6-8 times a day over the past 6 months. In the first 24 hours on Resthyro he dropped to 2 semi-formed stools.

We're now into the third day and he hasn't had a bowel movement since late yesterday afternoon. His water consumption is way down and he's resting quietly. We know he has a long way to go before he's healthly again. Now we have hope that there is a safe alternative to expensive surgeries and medications with potential for liver damaging side effects in an already liver damaged cat.

With all the extra rain we've gotten our dog has developed an allergic hacking cough and runny nose. I suspect it is from air born mold spores developing in the water and soggy ground. She's keeping me up at night with her coughing. As soon as I can find something to sell, I'll be ordering the respiratory aid for our precious girl.
Thank you for helping keep our 'family' safe.

Sincerely,

Charly Makray-Rice
