Toys for donation
I was shopping at the dollar store the other day and realized how simple and inexpensive pet toys are. I always remember to make charitable contributions to human illnesses and causes, however, forgetting that pets need our attention as well. I recently bought a few toys at the dollar store and donated them to a local shelter. Non profit animal organizations rely on donations and although some of their campaigns aren't widely advertised, many will gladly accept toys in additional to money. This year during the holidays, Freedom, my black lab, received way too many toys from neighbors and relatives. He's a one toy kinda dog and ignores others. Instead of having them sit in the living room un-loved, we donated them to the pet hospital down the street from us so that patients had something to play with while in the waiting room.
Luv Sheila & Freedom
