Customer's question-Hearty Heart with Lasix

" My dog is on Lasix 10mg a day. Is lasix considered a conventional heart medication? If so is it safe to take Hearty Heart while on lasix ? If not how long should he be off lasix before starting your product? Does your product work as a diretic?"

Hearty Heart can be used with the Lasix as the formula does not contain any herbs that would have a drug herb interaction. Furosemide (Lasix, Salix, Disal) are diuretic used in many species to remove excess fluid from the body. It is used to treat congestive heart failure, some other heart diseases, pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs), certain kidney diseases, high blood pressure, high potassium levels in the blood (hyperkalemia), ascites (fluid in the abdomen), and certain kinds of tissue edema (swelling). Furosemide will cause your pet to urinate more often.
Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences weakness, depression, a change in drinking or urinating, or seizures while being treated with furosemide.
